Eskadale House is located in the beautiful highlands of Scotland, about fifteen miles west of Inverness, the capital of the highlands, five miles from the village of Beauly, ten miles from Loch Ness and an hour and a half from the Isle of Skye. A Georgian House, built in the late 1700's, Eskadale is situated in an area referred to in an 1850's newspaper ad as "the dream".

On the Banks of the River Beauly, the house was once part of the Lovat estate and was acquired by the Quattlebaums in the mid 1980s. The Lovat estate at one time stretched from the east to the west coasts of Scotland, encompassing a large part of the Highlands. The Lovat Chiefs have been interesting and colorful characters who ruled the Fraser clan and properties for over seven hundred years. One of the most beguiling and villainous being the Lord Lovat, known as The Fox, who was head of the Clan during the time of the 1745 Rebellion. He backed both sides, but when the Bonnie Prince Charlie's Jacobites lost at Culloden, Lovat ended up on the wrong side and thus became the last peer to be beheaded in England.

The Quattlebaums have donated time at Eskadale to a number of charity auctions to share their home and to aid worthy causes.
